Thar village school gets Solar system to avoid extreme heat.
After witnessing extreme heat wave in Pakistan, FRDP has installed Solar system, an alternative energy, at the Government Secondary School Village Rohal, Tharparkar district to avoid any issue for the minor children.
The three-room school has 79 enrolled children, 74 boys and five girls of the locality as well as a small number of children coming from neighbouring villages for the education.
The community has built a separate makeshift room in the premises on the self-help basis. The most inspiring thing is that the villagers show ownership to take care of limited resources, specially the gifted facility.
Since the village is situated at remote area, far from the Grid station, the solar facility provided a solace to the students and teachers to sit there at the time of extreme heat conditions.
Though the area has received scattered rainfall and greenery is visible around there, the people are experiencing extreme heat due to global warming.
I really Appreciate work done by FRDP pakistan.
